Machined Parts for Marine Valves & Fluid Systems

Shipyards and marine equipment makers buy valve internals and fluid-system parts on short, shifting schedules, and a delayed fitting can hold a hull alongside for days. We machine stems, seats, flanges and fittings in stainless, duplex and bronze from 200 pieces, with material certificates to EN 10204 3.1 on every batch, samples in 7–15 days and a quotation within 48 hours.

What shipyards and marine OEMs actually order

Marine projects buy twice: engineering samples during outfitting, then surprise replacements when systems are commissioned and sea trials move dates. Stems, seats and fittings are wanted in corrosion-resistant alloys with full material traceability, and the schedule matters more than the unit price once a hull is alongside the outfitting quay. Quotes that arrive within 48 hours and samples that ship in 7 to 15 days are what actually win the order. That is why outfitting teams keep a short list of machining partners who answer on the same day, because the cost of waiting is measured in crane time and dock fees rather than in the price of the part itself.

We machine valve stems, seats, flanges and fittings in 316L, duplex, Super Duplex and bronze, with sealing surfaces finished to Ra 0.8 or better and threads gauged as standard. Every batch carries EN 10204 3.1 certificates with heat-number traceability, dimensional reports on critical fits are included, and DDP delivery runs in 5 to 8 days by air. Class-society steps are handled at the equipment-maker level, so your team can qualify us quickly as the machining layer behind the certificate. Repeat orders reuse the stored specification without renegotiation.

Workflow: drawing, sample approval and recurring series

The standard flow: drawing review and quotation within 48 hours, first samples in 7–15 days, first article inspection and approval, then series production against the approved reference. Tooling, program revisions and inspection records are kept on file so that call-offs remain consistent with the approved first article.

Engineering changes — material substitutions, tolerance updates, plating or packaging changes — are handled as controlled changes against the same records.

Quality and documentation

DIN ISO 2768-mK applies as the default tolerance scheme for unspecified dimensions. EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificates are standard for metallic parts, First Article Inspection supports the approval step, and RoHS/REACH declarations are available where required. Plating, cleanliness and packaging requirements are confirmed per drawing.

FAQ

Do you supply class-certified parts?
We supply machined components to equipment makers and trading partners with EN 10204 3.1 material certificates and full dimensional reports. Class-society approval for finished valves sits with the certificate holder; our role is the reliable machining layer behind it, with heat-number traceability and inspection records that plug directly into your class documentation without extra paperwork.

Which alloys can you machine?
316L, duplex and Super Duplex, Monel 400, bronze and carbon steels up to hardened 42CrMo4. Work hardening and tool life on duplex are engineered per part, sealing surfaces are finished to Ra 0.8 µm or better, and every batch ships with mechanical and chemical test results matched to the melt number printed on the certificate.

How fast can you deliver?
A quotation arrives within 48 hours of drawing receipt. First articles take 7 to 15 days, and series parts deliver DDP within 5 to 8 days by air including customs clearance, or 35 to 45 days by sea. For outfitting emergencies we split shipments so critical fits arrive first and the balance follows by the cheapest available route.

Can you match an existing part without a drawing?
Yes. Send the used part as a sample; we measure it, reproduce the geometry with a full dimensional report, and agree inspection methods against your gauges before production. This reverse-engineering route is common for aging fluid systems where the original supplier has disappeared or the drawing set is incomplete. The reverse-engineering route typically takes 10 to 15 days from sample receipt to first article.
