Petrochemical complexes age into their biggest MRO decade exactly while their maintenance contractors struggle to source machined pump parts locally. We machine shafts, sleeves, impellers and wear rings in stainless, duplex and Monel 400 for MRO contractors and pump OEM service departments — quoted in 48 hours, first articles in 7–15 days. Reverse-engineered reproduction from a worn sample is a standard route, not an exception.
| Pump shafts | 316L, duplex, turned + ground |
| Sleeves & bushes | 316L, Monel 400, sliding-head turned |
| Impellers & wear rings | 316L, duplex, turned |
| Batch range | 1–20,000 pcs |
| Tolerance scheme | ±0.005 mm, Ra ≤ 0.8 µm seals |
| Documents | EN 10204 3.1, dimensional report |
Mature petrochemical complexes change their pump internals not on a catalogue schedule but when vibration, seals or hydraulics say so. Maintenance contractors therefore need machined parts from one piece upward, in the exact alloy the service specifies, with certificates their own engineers can file. Local sourcing stalls on grinding capacity; the global sourcing route stalls on nobody answering small orders seriously. Each overhaul carries its own alloy specification and document expectations, and the contractor who cannot produce a 3.1 certificate with matching heat numbers loses the next framework regardless of the piece price on the last order.
We answer small orders seriously: shafts, sleeves, impellers and wear rings from 1 piece, with reverse-engineered reproduction when the original drawing is gone. Sliding-head turning and centerless grinding hold fits to ±0.005 mm, Monel 400 and duplex run as standard materials, and the document pack — 3.1 certificate, dimensional report, heat-number traceability — repeats identically on every call-off so your maintenance file stays audit-ready year after year. Engineering changes mid-program are handled at the same speed as the first quote, and volume can flex month to month because the process specification is stored against your part number rather than rebuilt for every order.
| Component (IT / EN) | Typical material | Process | Typical batch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pump shafts | 316L / duplex | Turning + grinding | 1–2,000 |
| Sleeves & bushes | 316L / Monel 400 | Sliding-head turning | 500–10,000 |
| Impellers | 316L, bronze | Milling + turning | 200–5,000 |
| Wear rings | Duplex | Turning | 1,000–20,000 |
Single-piece repair quantities and framework call-offs run on the same certified process and identical documentation.
The standard flow: drawing review and quotation within 48 hours, first samples in 7–15 days, first article inspection and approval, then series production against the approved reference. Tooling, program revisions and inspection records are kept on file so that call-offs remain consistent with the approved first article.
Engineering changes — material substitutions, tolerance updates, plating or packaging changes — are handled as controlled changes against the same records.
DIN ISO 2768-mK applies as the default tolerance scheme for unspecified dimensions. EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificates are standard for metallic parts, First Article Inspection supports the approval step, and RoHS/REACH declarations are available where required. Plating, cleanliness and packaging requirements are confirmed per drawing.
Can you reproduce a worn part without a drawing?
Yes. Send the worn part; we measure it, reproduce the geometry, and deliver a dimensional report that flags every wear-related deviation so your engineer decides the final fit. Reverse-engineered first articles typically take 7 to 15 days, and the specification we lock after your approval becomes the stored standard for all repeat orders on that part.
What are the payment and delivery terms?
New relationships start with 30 percent on order and 70 percent before shipment, or an irrevocable letter of credit for larger values. Standard repeat lead time is 5 to 8 days by air DDP including customs clearance, or 35 to 45 days by sea for planned call-offs, with split shipments available when one critical dimension is holding up the overhaul.
How do you handle alloy verification?
Every batch carries EN 10204 3.1 certificates with the heat number and the actual melt analysis, so the alloy you specified is the alloy you can prove arrived. For aggressive-service parts in Monel 400 or duplex we additionally report hardness where heat treatment applies, and the certificates repeat in identical format for every call-off under the stored part number.
Can you ship split batches for an overhaul?
Yes. When one dimension is holding up the overhaul, we split-ship the ready parts first by air DDP and follow with the balance by the cheapest route. The certificates and dimensional reports travel with each partial delivery, so your quality file stays complete even when the shipment does not arrive as a single consignment. Typical split-ship overhead adds 2 to 3 days to the first parcel, which is still faster than waiting for the full set.
