PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) is a high-performance semicrystalline thermoplastic renowned for its exceptional mechanical properties, thermal stability, and chemical resistance. With a continuous service temperature of up to 260°C, PEEK maintains its mechanical strength and dimensional stability in extreme environments where most plastics would fail. Its excellent combination of high strength-to-weight ratio, wear resistance, and biocompatibility makes it the material of choice for demanding aerospace, medical, semiconductor, and oil & gas applications.
Our advanced CNC machining capabilities enable us to produce precision PEEK components with exceptional accuracy and surface finish. Using state-of-the-art CNC milling and turning centers with temperature-controlled environments, we manufacture complex aerospace components, medical implants, semiconductor wafer handling parts, and downhole oil & gas components that meet the most stringent industry standards. Our engineering team understands PEEK's unique thermal expansion characteristics and machining requirements, implementing specialized tooling and cutting strategies to achieve superior quality and maintain the material's exceptional properties.
PEEK offers outstanding chemical resistance to hydrocarbons, acids, and bases, even at elevated temperatures. It is inherently flame retardant (UL94 V-0 rated) and produces minimal smoke when exposed to fire. Medical-grade PEK is biocompatible and sterilizable, making it suitable for surgical implants and dental applications. With excellent fatigue resistance and creep resistance, PEEK components can withstand continuous loading at high temperatures. From rapid prototypes to critical production parts, we deliver high-quality PEEK components with fast turnaround and comprehensive material traceability.

PEEK offers an exceptional balance of properties that few other materials can match. With continuous service temperature up to 260°C, outstanding mechanical strength (100 MPa tensile), excellent chemical resistance, inherent flame retardancy (UL94 V-0), and biocompatibility, PEEK outperforms PPS, PI, and PTFE in most applications. Its unique combination allows it to replace metals in extreme environments while offering significant weight savings (1/7 the weight of steel).
Yes, medical-grade PEEK (typically PEEK-OPTIMA or equivalent) is biocompatible and approved for long-term implantation in the human body. It's used in spinal fusion devices, hip replacements, dental implants, and trauma fixation. PEEK's modulus of elasticity is similar to human bone, reducing stress shielding effects. We can machine medical-grade PEEK components with full material traceability and certification documentation.
PEEK can operate continuously at temperatures up to 260°C (500°F) without significant degradation of mechanical properties. For short-term exposure, it can withstand temperatures up to 300°C. This makes PEEK ideal for high-temperature applications such as aircraft engine components, downhole oil & gas tools, and semiconductor processing equipment where most plastics would fail.
Yes, PEEK requires specialized machining due to its high strength and thermal properties. It must be machined with sharp carbide tooling at appropriate speeds and feeds to prevent work hardening. Temperature control during machining is critical to prevent thermal stress. Our experienced team uses proven PEEK machining protocols, including proper fixturing, coolant strategies, and tool paths, to achieve tight tolerances while maintaining material integrity.
PEEK exhibits excellent chemical resistance to a wide range of substances, including hydrocarbons, oils, fuels, acids (except concentrated sulfuric acid), and bases. It maintains its properties even at elevated temperatures, making it ideal for chemical processing equipment, oil & gas downhole tools, and marine applications. However, it should not be exposed to concentrated sulfuric acid or certain halogens at high temperatures.
Yes, PEEK is inherently flame retardant and achieves UL94 V-0 rating (the highest flame retardancy rating) without requiring additives. When exposed to flame, PEEK produces very low smoke and minimal toxic gases, making it suitable for aerospace, rail, and public transportation applications where fire safety is critical. This property is maintained even after long-term exposure to high temperatures.
